Blueshound Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 I'm looking to trade my VHT Pitbull 45 Head for another high gain head of equal value that uses something other than EL84 power tubes. This one uses an EF86 for the reverb driver tube. The amp is in excellent condition with one or two very minor scuffs in the tolex and everything works perfectly. The 4-button footswitch is included. Shoot me an offer. I already have an amp that uses EL84's, so I have that base covered. I would prefer not to ship this and would be willing to meet any buyer 1/2 way (within reason). I live in central Wisconsin. For reference, the Twin Cities are about a 2 1/2 hour drive, Milwaukee is about 4 hours, LaCrosse is 2 1/2 hours. Thanks in advance. Lee
Turdus Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 This model VHT is the best I've heard..... I already own one, or I'd be all over it. A lot smoother, and ballsier than my Plexi 50 reissue. I don't use the clean channel, and never high gain. But for a great overdriven, crunchy rhythm tone, this one is hard to beat. I've tried many times to top this amp, and can not do it.
