Difference btw Newport Pro and 335?

I've read a good deal of comments to the effect that the Newport Pro sounds different from a 335 style, but very litte about the particular ways in witch it differs. Could anyone elaborate on that differnce? Is it less/more bassy-middy-trebly?

A newport pro is more like a 336 ... smaller body and not a full sound block like a 335. As for actual sound difference? .. well, I do not own either so I cannot comment.

Newport has more honk and twang, the 335 sounds thicker.
