  1. Before you go replacing it, I would try dampening the springs in the rear cavity: A buddy of mine tried a Vegatrem on one of his Charvel-style partscasters. We both agreed that it sounded dull compared to the Strat-style bridge he had on before, and he ended up swapping that back in.
  2. I wasn't crazy about the silver when Hamer introduced it with the '99 Vanguards, but it's warmed up nicely with age.
  3. Late to this thread. I’m a Banshee user and have never had a problem with the FOH guy mixing in my mic signal. But if that’s a real problem, you could also use a vocoder, which won’t sound exactly the same but at least will run to your amp.
  4. I’ve been gigging a CLR since 2013 (initially the original but most of the time the MkII Neo). They never let me down. But it’s hard to recommend in light of numerous reports of people having difficulty getting Atomic to support their products.
  5. My Floyd tribute rig is nice and tidy: My Radiohead tribute rig is not:
  6. I think they look cool. I would just want the neck to join at a higher fret.
  7. Great condition, some tarnish on the gold hardware, includes OHSC, $2500 shipped to CONUS. Neck profile: Hamer’s medium vintage carve, not a baseball bat. 1.685” nut width. Weight: 6 lbs, 15 oz Happy to answer questions and take more pics.
  8. Looks like someone snagged it. Hope it was someone here.

  10. Sorry for your loss. Getting gear that way has got to be bittersweet.
  11. OK, if we're all gonna break the rules and post our non-guitar acquisitions, I just got this Tonex Plug. The Bluetooth editing and saving has been unreliable with my iPhone 17 Pro, but it works well via USB and is pretty freakin' fun:
  12. Terrible that he and his wife are dead, horrific how it happened. I don't remember much about All In The Family but loved all the movies he did. I can rewatch Spinal Tap and Princess Bride in particular an infinite number of times.
  13. My only new Hamer this year is also my only new guitar this year, Kaki King's Newport Pro:
  14. I think New Hartford ('97 onwards) f-holed Hamers had significantly thinner tops than Arlington Heights Hamers.
  15. I’ve been using this technique lately, works great:
  16. Yes, IME a Newport will feedback easier than an Artist.
  17. Agreed that that’s the best option.
  18. You can try wicking some water-thin superglue into the screw holes to try to harden the wood, letting it dry, and then rescrewing. I would avoid supergluing the bridge itself into place, as that may just result in the finish going with the bridge next time it lifts up, and it would make any later servicing a pain.
