OK, this was at one time a sea foam green Chaparral bolt-on (which later was called standard) but regardlesss of name it is rosewood board, dots, you know the deal. It was my first new Hamer and it has stayed with me so long because I'm a sentimental fool. Many moons ago I (foolishly) got it in my head to refinish it and make it a sustainiac. Fast forward about 6 years into the future and the guitar still sits unfinished and in need of final wiring/assembly. With going from 1 band to 0 bands to 2 bands and an original project, I am spending more time playing and no longer have time to tinker like I used to. So....In a nutshell you have a guitar that has been stripped of 95% of the original finish, sanded and a few coats of sand/sealer put on to keep the mahogany covered. The job is far from professional and additional sanding/detailing will be required to make it perfect. The sustainiac board/pickup-transducer was out of a ASI guitar. I have had this thing for years and never wired it up, so all I have is the guy's word who I bought it from that it worked fine. I will include an additional sustainiac pickup/transducer as well as the Sustainaic installation manual (I had bought a sustainiac retrofit kit back in the 90's and had a "pro" wire it into another guitar. Let's just say the "pro" managed to melt the board and destroy the circuitry beyond repair, hence the reason I picked up this board off ebay a long time ago). What you see is what you get and not shown in the picture (but included) will be the locking nuts for the Floyd, the trem arm, the sustainiac transducer (a little part that is required if you want the pickup/transducer to act as a pickup also), and all parts necessary to make the sustainiac theoretically work. I DO NOT KNOW FOR SURE IF IT WORKS, so you will be buying this at your own risk. The neck has some fretware in the first 4 frets, but nothing that effects low action or playability. Truss rod seems to work fine. Body has been poorly routed to accept the board...so don't expect an easy aesthetic fix. It's not horrible, but it's far from pro job either. The guitar is not wired up at all, so if you're looking for a plug in and play guitar, this is not it right now. So, the low down is you get the guitar and all hardware/electronics shown, a cosmetically beat, but structurally sound TKL hardshell case, and the sustainiac system with an extra pickup and the installation manual right from Maniac music all for the HFC approved price of $350 shipped to a CONUS address. Part it out or fix it up and play it, I just am coming to grips with the fact that I will never get around to finishing the job and doing it right. :P On a scale of 1-10 (1 being a total basket case, 10 being perfect), this is probably a 3, maybe 4 at best so know what you're getting yourself into so you're not dissapointed. E-mail me if interested, but don't use the PM function as I don't always get them. Thanks.
