studio neck carves

hi anyone know exactly when hamer changed the neck carve on the studio model from thin to the thicker ?

any serial or year way of telling?

not really. Necks are all over the place but can be 'generalized' into different timeframes. The early to mid 90's are on the slimmer side. I've had some mediums areound 96. It seems around 98 they went to a larger carve. Currently Hamer offers a choice of vintage (thicker) or modern (slimmer). If you don't specify, vintage is the default.
