santellavision Posted January 9, 2009 Author Posted January 9, 2009 Ken, I just sent you an email. That is more than anyone can expect. What a gentleman. The Hamer family is unreal. There are some truly great people here and Ken 'Pirateflynn' is one of them. I have to pass along a quick story...Many of you know, my wife lost her job. Huge blow to the family. And with the economy as it is, who knows when she will find something. So, we've been cutting back on everything. And also, the reason I've been selling a bunch of gear. Just trying to save money if things don't work out for a while. We started cutting back on all non-essentials.One of the things we cut out was an exterminator. (Don't get me wrong, we aren't dirty, but we live in the woods and get mice. They just get in no matter what we do) So, we called the guy who baits our traps outside and told him that we had to cut back on expenses and stop using him. He said, "Don't worry, I'll keep coming and you don't have to pay me, just let me know when Sharon gets back on her feet") Holy crap, we both started crying. That's what the world needs, more folks who care about other people and want to help out in a bad time. Sharon and I have learned so much in this time. And helping others is what it's all about.Sorry for the long story, but it's people like that and Ken 'Pirateflynn' that give me hope we will all survive the BS that is going on in the world right now.
