Hamerhack Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 A neighbor has a '56 LP Junior and a Reissue '57 Strat.He said he went into a store with a friend and saw this new Reissue '57 Strat. He looked at it, loved it. His friend tried to convince him to buy it. He went home to "think" about it, and the next time he went to the store, it was, of course, gone. His trusty friend, however, noticing how much he liked it, had written down the s/n.Flash forward a few years, and they both go into the same shop, and say... "hey, this looks a LOT like the Strat that got away!" His friend still had the serial number and, sure enough, it was the same one. My neighbor bought it on the spot.Are there serial number databases for other brands so you can see if your former axe is still out there somewhere?I'm sure there are some great stories here about tracking down a long lost guitar!What's yours?OOPS!
