robberns Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 2004 Limited Edition Taylor 710-CE Short Scale Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar in excellent condition. Has Snowflake inlays, no fret wear, very little playing time. Short-scale neck lowers the string tension and is easier on your hands if you are primarily an electric player like me. Recently sent the guitar to Taylor in CA for a set-up (fret-dress, intonate, truss rod, etc…) and to have the electronics upgraded to 9V (from 3V). Kept in a temperature and humidity-controlled environment for all of its life. Includes Taylor hardshell case. $1800 shipped and PayPal'ed in the CONUS. No trades, thanks. Specs: Engelmann spruce top. Indian rosewood back and sides. Ebony fretboard and bridge. Tropical American mahogany neck. Tusq nut and saddle Scalloped X-bracing. Gloss polyester finish, Gold-plated Taylor tuners. Venetian cutaway. 24 7/8-inch scale. 1 3/4-inch nut. 2 3/16-inch string spacing at bridge. Adjustable truss rod. Taylor Expression System electronics. Made in USA.
harry65 Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 i owned that same guitar a few years back , unbelievable tone and amazing playability with the short scale , i missed it the day i sold it ...................................
srvwannab Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 I have the mahogany guitar in the is series (510) and they are incredible guitars. It is one of the few acoustic (that and two Collings) guitars that I have never considered getting rid of. If you think that short scale guitars have less "umph"- it ain't the case with these. Mine is a canon. They are super playable and sound great.
