jads57 Posted December 11, 2009 Author Posted December 11, 2009 I think it's funny that people are so into the Double D p/ups w/out hearing them. I guess sales marketing is key!
zorrow Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 I think it's funny that people are so into the Double D p/ups w/out hearing them. I guess sales marketing is key! I guess it's just their unique look and, like you say, marketing. Just to let you know, guys, I got the Double D's and to me they are great, but again, they are very noisy and you have to like the sound of low output P-90's too. So said, I'm sure this Tally is a way more versatile guitar now than before. For example, the Vector which has now the Double D's has turned into a "one trick pony" at this point. I'm using it just for one type of sound I want to obtain sometimes, and that's about it. That's why I still rely 100% on my blueburst and my white Vector with boomers. They are much more versatile guitars --and happen to have Slammers and OBL's, respectively. Anyway, such a great guitar not selling only because it no longer has its Double D's, certainly is just... ridiculous.
jads57 Posted December 11, 2009 Author Posted December 11, 2009 Thanks so much for the words of wisdom Ionel! Folks this truly the best sounding Talladega I've had a chance to play out of 10-12 of them. It also has a slightly beefier neck profile than some of the others as well. I unfortunately have to sell my more valuable gear to pay off some debt. Otherwise , I' never sell this guitar.Someone is going to be very happy indeed!
jads57 Posted December 16, 2009 Author Posted December 16, 2009 Man, it's sure getting cold I really need a nice warm home!
jads57 Posted December 20, 2009 Author Posted December 20, 2009 Wow, everybody else is just as broke $$ as me!
