sforzando Posted July 29, 2005 Posted July 29, 2005 Got a question about Hamer Artists and serial numbers.... I have an Artist Korina Custom, serial number 050641. My understanding is that Hamer made an original lot of 36 bound and crowned Artist Korina Customs. A breathtaking example was #35, posted recently by BCR Greg and belongs to (belonged to?) Stevie Clay: http://www.hamerfanclub.com/forums/index.p...howtopic=370&hl I have one that looks identical to this beauty, but I don't think it was one of the original 36...I think it was made afterwards to match...but I'd like to know. Does anyone know or can suggest how I can confirm this by the serial number? Is this version of history even right? Thanks! Mark (P.S. "Identical" except that the control knobs and PU rings are gold also. This was done later.)

sforzando Posted July 30, 2005 Author Posted July 30, 2005 Happens to me every day. So many guitars...so little money. Here's mine:
BCR Greg Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 They made 35(and then my #36!) in that run, all with one piece bodies. Afterwards, a few were ordered by those that didn't get in on the run. Your is probably one of those. Stevie's guitar is still up for grabs, btw. Gotta pay for a Huber somehow!!!! *edited because I spell like Bill.
