WTT - PRS Swamp Ash Special for Hamer Artist or Studio

Hi all,

Please allow me to list my guitar for possible trade. I do not post often, but I am here a lot lurking.

I have a PRS Swamp Ash Special, stock, minty condition. No fret wear. No dings that I am aware of. If they are there, they are microscopic. This guitar is in better condition than most PRS's you will likely find hanging new in Guitar Center.

With original case, also minty. Have case candy and trem bar as well. Neck is Wide - Fat. Rosewood board on a Swamp Ash Special is kind of uncommon. I will leave it to you to ask other questions is you have interest. Guitar is stupidly versatile.

Pictures are poor. Cannot get the color to come out correct. The burst is extremely well done, and is more of a tobacco than a traditional red. The gradient is very smooth between colors, not harsh like shows in the pictures. I just could not get them to take correctly. If anyone has real interest, I will get someone with better equipment to take some photos. I will also take the guitar back if the burst turns out to be ugly. It isn't. Pictures do not do it justice.

Anyone who is into bursts will find this one well done. More of a tobacco burst with hints of red than a red burst.

Would like to trade this for a Hamer Artist or Studio with humbuckers. I might consider a Monaco. Not too particular about finish - Would do a Korina or a Mahogany no problem. Might need a bit o' money if it is a Mahogany.

There are two requirements: The trade guitar must have the medium fat Hamer neck profile. I cannot abide skinny necks. Ideally, something with a neck just exactly like this:

A Vanguard with buckers would be freekin sweet. A silver or gold Studio would rule. Of course Maple is sweet as well.

Second, condition needs to be very good or better. I do not want a beautiful Hamer that is all beat up.

I could put in a small amount of cash for the right guitar, but given what the PRS will bring on eBay, I would rather think in terms of even trades if possible.

Hmmm. I have a Monaco with Stoptail (usually has Bigsby) that I'm going to sell/trade soon as I have a second one with Bigsby that I'm keeping. I don't currently have any good pics of the Monaco, but will be taking some in a couple of days (it's raining and overcast right now which will make it hard to get good pics I think) If you think you may be interested reply, PM or Email and we'll discuss further.

Folks, I have tried to respond to a couple of PMs. For some reason, I am getting errors. If you would like to converse, we can take it offline to contact_ksmith AT yahoo DOT com. I will try to get some good pictures today, if weather permits. Also, yes, I am OK with selling outright. I paid $1200 for it, including OHSC, case candy, etc. Not necessarily looking to make money on it. Reasonable offers gladly considered. I would actually be happy with settling on a less expensive Mahogany Artist with cash left over. Offers?
