Phantom Power???

So....you can phantom power mics using three pin XLR cables, yes?

Is there any trick to phantom power a guitar but only use a standard guitar cable? (a two wire mono one, not a stereo guitar cable)

I know it can be done, but I think you'd have no option to use it without the phantom power, also I'm pretty sure you'd have to put a capacitor to keep the phantom power from heating all the components and it would probably affect your tone somewhat. How about with a stereo cable? that would be easier.
