I seem to recall reading somewhere that the 25th Anniversary came with Seymour Duncan Seth Lovers - is this true? Were there any 25th Anniversary/Artist Mahogany-type guitars that came with these pickups stock?

Nope. The 25th Anniversary came with a '59 at the neck and a JB at the bridge. When it was made into a production instrument as the Artist Mahogany HB, it was switched to '59s at both positions. The maple-topped Artists have Seth Lovers.
