phantomgt Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 (sniff...sniff).... life will never be the same.No more meeting everyone too early for man or beast to prepare for the 6 hour ride up, having to stop every 30 minutes to evacuate the last 20oz of coffee that combatted the bladder. No more Thursday night pow-wow in the hotel rooms. No more searching for good porn on the hotels' TV before they charge you.No more getting up early and chasing buses out of the hotel parking lots.No more waddling, very pigeon-like through the factory. No more lumps of saw dust being blown out of my nose for hours afterward. No more juggling what blues song to shred to next at the jam?No more mooning people through the car windows on the hallucinated, tired and coffee'd out drive home.No more 364 impatient days.At least I have the scars and fuzzy memories and fingerprinted pictures from the previous endeavors.And............................... FIYAHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!
pesocaster Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 as far as we know ... just skipping this year....
hikarateboy Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 When I asked each about the future of the open house both of the Franks as well as Jol have said it will continue next year after the designer series is done. Make sure that you take the opportunity to get out to one of the roadshows if Jol comes to a store near you. If you havent met him or heard him speak about Hamers in person you owe it to yourself. If you need to ask him about the future of the open house yourself (although I am sure he is about as sick of this question as anyone can be)A word of warning. If you do go to check out Jol, You might as well pencil in a large payment into your check book register before you do. Finding out full about what makes Hamers what they are is pretty inspiring.
