I've been learning Brian May solo's lately and reading about his rig and his guitar has it's pickups wire in series with switches to combine them in various ways. I've also heard about wiring the pickups in some hamers out of phase. Using the tone pot and various combinations of pickups I can get a great out of phase sounding tone with my Proto trying to emulate Brian May's sound.
