miragejake Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 I had listed this a couple weeks ago....and pulled the thread b/c I love this guitar, but I gotta sell some stuff. Melancon P90 Artist w/ "Boiled Crawfish" Redwood Top...and this one has a pretty nice sized neck for a Mel. Comes w/ G&G OHSC. -I bought this guitar on a whim locally a little while back. I'm a Melancon lover first off, secondly--I recoreded my first album a couple years back almost exclusively w/ a Mel P90 artist...so I had fond memories, and lastly--the redwood top just got my motor running. Like every Melancon I've ever owned...and I'm up to 8 owned at one point or another--this is a amazing guitar, and the build quality is second to none IMO. Gerard's got it going on. This one is not perfect cosmetically, it has a two small nicks above the backplate and abuot a 1.5" long faint scratch on the top ..all of which I've tried to capture in the pics. Otherwise, it's in fabulous shape...the guitar has not been played much. The guy I got it from was the original owner, and another Mel freak...he custom ordered this one from Gerard, and according to him--there was a substantial upcharge for the redwood top. Frets are in great condition w/ plenty of life left. All electronics are perfect, the guitar plays and sounds amazing. Weight is 7 lbs accordig to the bathroom scale. Great price here folks! MANY OF YOU HAVE ASKED ABOUT TRADES, HERE GOES...yes, I have cash to add to the right trade deal and would accept cash my way on the right deal. I would consider gibby types...les paul's and 335's...Hamer's- high end ones. PRS guitars, hollows and semi hollows. Other boutique gibby types like Bakers for example. Other Melancon's considered as well....just not really into P90's these days. Amps maybe...Carr, red plate, brown note, morgan, matchless...maybe a Z if it was the right flavor...othe boutique amps considered as well as vintage Fender. The right high end dreadnaught style acoustic... or cash plus deals on certain lower end D styles like a Larrivee D03 or something similar.
