Some info on a specific guitar model from the Experts

Question

Hi from France

I received tonight a model Artist Custom (apparently Custom Order).

Brief description is one piece neck, full mahogany, full binding, yet with 59 (not sure) and ebony neck from 2002

Does someone know by chance a little bit the story of this guitar or are there really many Custom Orders and this may be impossible to track back ?

Thanks for the info if you have some.

Received tonight and apart the cold caracter for Ebony and the doubt on the pickups installed yet, the luthery is gorgeous...I love it.

Have a nice week , Gilles

Just for being honest, pictures are not mine but from my seller...and I verified that pickups ring, switch, tuners are not original ( I guess yet)

Looks like a custom order as the Artist Custom usually has a maple top, although they did make an Artist Mahogany HB and Korina HB without all the binding. Double check that the neck is one piece: that would be unusual (not impossible) other than on a Triple Threat (which this isn't); also Hamer are so good at matching grain that you may need a bright light to distinguish the pieces.

I believe they have kept better records since the move to New Hartford and you may be able to get more details from Kim Keller, currently the main man at Hamer.

The "one piece" neck has been in fact as well confirmed by the "importer" from the US to Europe, Conrad in Belgium, but i would like to find some info directly from the original owner if possible.

For the production, I do not have any info but I know only the model is from 2002 and apparently with 59 from the same period, which is strange too.

Thanks

And a special thanks Andrew for the other site which is a gold mine for a "new" hamer fan ...I belong to the "Hamer generation" and does even not yet understand why I missed this brand for so many years...Since I got my Korina Artist (and this other Artist), I have no other guitar...

So your ste is a great help for newcomers. Gills
