Hamer TOM intonation screws

Question

Posted

Hi,

anyone know if there is a particular reason why the more recent TOM (Tonepros) bridges are positioned on Hamers such that the screws face the stop tail, when most everyone else has them facing the neck?

Is it just personal preference, or is there anything about those bridges that means they should face in that direction?

Matt

One possible explanation...

If your pickups have covers, and the screw heads face the stoptail, adjusting the bridge wont scratch the pickup covers. And even without covers, the pickups don't get in the way of adjusting the bridge. I prefer the bridge oriented this way - FWIW, YMMV, IMHO, ETC.
