Andrew Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 No, it only started when Dimarzio started with two core (and earth/shield) wire. Wiring out of phase only requires that the white is connected to the pot tag (black to ground) on one pickup, and the other pickup the black wire is connected (white to ground). Otherwise it is the normal wiring you see for any pickups with a selector switch.
