Guest Mark123 Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 Walked into Guitar Center in Tampa today and they had a pretty nice USA Newport used for sale, orange metalflake finish and looked to be in really nice shape, pricetag on it was $1100, if anybody is interested, number is 813-801-9290. I would have thought about it, but was in another guitar shop a block away 5 minutes before and bought myself a really minty Valley Arts custom pro and a Charvel San Dimas a few minutes before, ran out of cash...

Another Tampon! Err Tampan.....what do they call us anyway? Anyway, I'm in that GC on a regular basis and I guess I missed the Newport. They overprice everything anyway but you can get them down. That other shop wouldn't be Legends would it? I have done a lot of business with Kent and Bill over the years.

That's exactly where I was... Good call! I've been in the Tampa area (Brandon) for a 1.5 years or so (field computer tech) and got stuck in that end of town when I noticed a shop that just had a sign "Guitars" (Legends) outside last week. Went inside and they had some really nice guitars for the money. Also had a bit of cash from bonus at work, great timing. They didn't have any Hamers, but did walkout with a very early Charvel San Dimas and a pre-Samick/Gibson USA Valley Arts California Pro strat. Good folks to deal with, fair prices and knew their stuff.
