PSA - EMG-BTS and Partial EMG JV Set - NOS

Hey,

Cleaning out the parts drawer. I've had these since the early 90's, and they've never been used:

1> EMG-BTS System

This is an active EQ circuit for bass guitars with EMG pickups. (this was not designed for non-EMG pups - if you're looking for that, look for an EMG-BTC) Allows separate control over treble and bass and has a master volume and blend control for the pups. Also includes the DMSK (Dual Mode Switch Kit).

I have two of these. Both boxes have been opened. The internals of one is unopened (though some of the packaging on the parts is not sealed) and includes the original instructions. In the other set, the bag of knobs was opened, but the knobs were not used. It does not include the original instructions for the DMSK kit, but i did make a copy, which is very readable. The price is for each - first request gets the unopened kit, second request gets the opened kit.

2> Partial EMG JV Set

This is a killer pup set for bass. Unfortunately, one pup was used, so this kit only includes one pup, but it does have the wiring, screws, and the controls. Again, the box is opened, but the components have never been installed or used. Unfortunately, no instructions. I'll try to track down a set on the 'net and include a copy. For now, assume no instructions are included.

HFC members with more than 10 posts as of the posting of this ad will get free shipping, but you must drop me a PM telling me your eBay ID (or i won't know a member here won...)

Edited to add eBay links now that item is on eBay...

Not sure what electronics are in the Hamer, so i'm not sure whether it would be an upgrade or not.

This system gives a treble control, a bass control, a blend (to mix the two pickup outputs) and a master volume. Being active, the treble and bass are flat at the center (indent) position and will cut or boost. Spec sheet sez +/-10db on the bass control and +/-12db on the treble.

I played a bass with it in it before i bought the kits (early 90's) and i liked the fact you could set the blend and then adjust the master separately. Seemed more logical to me.

The control board has a freq select for the treble control center frequency: 2.1kHz, 3.5Khz, 4.5kHz, or 7kHz. Bass center is fixed, but unfortunately, i don't what freq that is (spec sheet doesn't say...).

The DMSK switch will cut the lows, and they provide a few common cap values to get you started, but you could really use any value cap you cared to use.

Hope the information is helpful. When you are done, you would have 4 pots and a mini toggle, not counting the output jack.
