ZR Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 The first 3 pairs are basically brand new in the sense that I bought them new, and plugged them in the amp a couple times during one of my more obsessive test phases! These were in the amp for probably a total of 10-20 minutes. I probably should have had them in longer and maybe they could sound different but I decided on others so these are for sale! The other tubes are used but all test good on my tube tester and have been biased in my Zinky MoFo amp to around the stated ma's in idle current. Depending on what you read on the internet machine under 5ma difference is considered quite matched, under 10 ma is still pretty good ...getting past that is getting into unmatched territory but depending on your amp could still be very usable. There is also plenty of debate on just how matched or unmatched you should want your tubes. Anyway, I just tested these in my amp but please consider the idle current readings the best guestimates I have based on MY amp, the particular conditions they were tested under etc. Use them as a rough guide to let you know that they are still good to rock! Complete with PC= Plate current TC= amplification ratings... These are very closely matched, not some random set from the big box stores. I bought them from The Tubestore.
