  1. I hear such great things about those units. A ton of pros are using them in their rigs now, since the first AxeFX. Would love to get my hands on one someday. I'm using a digital rig in the form of Guitar Rig on my laptop. I was always in a situation where I couldn't blast an amp in the house/apartment, and was recording mostly anyway, so found that using software was perfect for me. I've tried various amps over the years but I always go back to the computer, can get so many amazing tones from one piece of software. And I've used it live with the foot pedal unit as well with good results. I wouldn't feel bad about moving on from the amp at all.
  2. Thanks Stike! This is exactly what I need!
  3. Cool thanks Stike. Let me know, I appreciate it.
  4. That would be excellent! Thank you.
  5. No wasn't that one, this one was brought in by a guy who's had it a long time. Was white originally. I kept asking him, you sure you want this refinished? A lot of people pay to have it look like this. It was pretty beat up though, with some holes drilled in it.
  6. The only way to do this is to take a high resolution photograph of the original headstock decal, clean it up in photoshop and then render a vector file. Stike's All Out Graphics dude is pretty cool. His name is Manfred Schlager and he does some really fine work... he's affordable too. This is okay but... it's angled a bit away from the camera, you want the decal exactly parallel to the camera lens so no distortion occurs (it can be fixed in PS but it's always better if you don't have to) and you want the photograph to be at least 8 megapixels 'cause we are going to be converting from pixel to vector and you need the highest resolution possible for the least amount of aliasing to occur. The A5 is the same font as the U.S.A. just smaller and in bold... the Phantom font is bizarre and looks to be custom but there might be some printing experts out there who might know the exact name of the font or could suggest a comparable. Thanks for the reply. I took lots of photos of the guitar and headstock, but it's been stripped at this point. And an iPhone pic won't get me that kinda resolution, so looks like I might be contacting this gentlemen you mentioned.
  7. I'd like to resurrect this thread as I am refinishing a Hamer Phantom A5 for a guy and will be needing a replacement decal for the headstock. All I've found online so far is just a standard Hamer USA logo, need one that has the Phantom and little A5 to be accurate. Any new sources in the way of decals, transfers, or vector files and I can make my own?
