  1. That Californian is mine. Let me explain what is going on and maybe someone can help me with some advice. I bought this guitar at a pawn shop a few years back. Someone had removed the original Floyd and replaced it with a non-floyd (Kahler I believe) they also replaced the pickups and removed the back cover. I had the 1984 Floyd put in. I asked again and was told this: The Bridge Mounts: To clear up the main concern—the original factory metal bushings/inserts are fully intact. The tech did not use wood screws; the 1984 Reissue is mounted to the original-style studs. No structural holes were filled or redrilled. The Cavity/Block: The German 1984 Reissue’s brass block and screws have full clearance in the factory routing. No wood was removed to make it fit. Also I put that back cover on there. I am going to try to find the correct sized plate. Below is a picture of the open cavity in the back. Please let me know if I am correct on all this. Thanks
  2. Peter,

    Hi,

I sent you an email in regard to a post you made in the WTB Californian thread.

I responded to a message you had sent me a while back in regard to another Hamer I bought.

I am interested in finding possibly buying a Californian

    Thanks

    Rick Recco
