  1. Crap. That puts me at 10 1/3. Whoops also forgot two other acoustics. Double crap. 12 1/3.
  2. Now that is a pledge that I could live with. 9 guitars is just about right. Just sold a Epi Bonamassa to make way for my incoming Nash thinline. That keeps me at 9 guitars (I don't have to count basses do I?)
  3. HamerHokie -- how much different in tone/etc. is a PRS santana or Custom 22 from a Hamer USA Studio custom? Arent they similar builds? Not bashing PRS or anything, just curious...
  4. I'm out. Ordered a Nash tele thinline last month that is due to be finished in March. Hope that is my last (at least until next year's contest)
  5. Still available! This has probably one of the best 6v6 overdrive sounds that I have ever heard, but I can really only afford one nice amp, so the Orangutan must go. I received my new Samamp vac 40 last week. What a fantastic, Fender-inspired amp. Here is a link to a demo done by Anthony Stauffer of Stevie Snacks. His demo is right on the money. http://steviesnacks.com/gear-videos/samamp-vac-40-series-2-demo.html. I can go as low as $1400 plus actual shipping (~$50). I will pack it up in the original box and ship it insured. Fellow HFCer pcosby and I did a Vector for Studio Custom trade this past year, so feel free to confirm with him that I am a stand up guy!
  6. Still available. How about I lower the price to $1600 plus shipping? Looks like they are running at about $2500 new right now. Got a new Samamp on the way, but need a way to pay for it!
  7. Ok. I listed it on the Bay late last night (for $1800), but would gladly pull that auction for a HFCer. I am not in a huge hurry, though I did decide to bite the bullet and put in my order to have a Samsamp vac 40 built for me...
  8. No takers??? I wish that I could lower the price, but I am already eating alot of my initial investment. I Whoops -premature posting! I must be getting old. I meant to say that it really is in like new condition. Not a scratch on it...
  9. Ha, so true. Most likely an amp replacement for me will wait, and if one of you will buy this, the bucks will likely go towards my daughters college tuition bill!
  10. Thank you Veatch for posting that video. Great example of how the amp sounds, though I wish I had his chops
  11. I've decided to part ways with my 3 Monkeys Orangutan amp. I thought I would offer it here before I put it on FleaBay for a couple of hundred more. I bought this about 1 1/2 years ago from Fat Sound Guitars. It has stayed in my music room the whole time since, and it is in perfect condition. It is a hand-wired, all tube ~35 watt 1x12 combo with reverb. I also have an AirBrake Attenuator installed which does a nice job at bringing the volume levels down without losing much tone. If you go to the Fat Sound website, I think they still have some videos up with some great sound clips. Essentially, this is a fantastic one channel, rock 'n roll amp. It has a rotary switch that allows you to select 6 different gain voices -- you can go from a Fender like sound, to more of a Marshall/Vox that breaks up great at higher volumes. It also has a unique Bass lift boost, with its own cool looking footswitch. Honestly, it is just too much amp for me -- I have a small Studio and I don't play out. Looking now for a small watt amp with big sound (e.g. the SamAmp Vac40). I am looking for $1700 plus shipping (probably around $50). Note that I paid ~$2500 new. Here are the specs from the web site, as my blathering isn't as informative: The Orangutan is a four 6V6 amp with a unique six position rotary voice switch that changes both the gain structure and the tone as you rotate it clockwise. The volume control interacts with the voice switch to produce shimmering cleans and smooth over-driven tones. The bass is like a low frequency control, and the treble acts like a cut. The lift switch disables the bass control to provide boost and clarity. Room is a reverb control. The Orangutan has its own distinctive voice, suited for both stage and studio. It has its own vintage sound. Specifications: • Four 6V6 Power Tubes for approximately 30-35 Watts • Three ECC83 Preamp Tubes • Custom-wound Transformers designed by 3 Monkeys • Hand-wired Preamp/Poweramp/Sockets/Pots/Jacks • Capacitor Input Power Supply - designed to provide best balance between stiffness/sag. • Cathodyne Phase Inverter • Mil Spec Components for Robust Construction • .090 Aircraft Aluminum Powder-coated Chassis • Highest Quality Chassis Mount Tube Sockets • G-10 FR-4 Circuit Boards • Accutronics Reverb Tank • Uniquely Shaped Solid Birch Ply Cabinet (No rectangles here) • Crushed Glass Faceplates with Industrial Silkscreen Loaded with custom voiced 3 Monkeys Speaker • Made by Hand in Raleigh, NC Here are some pics. Sorry for the crazy orientations! Looks just like the stock pics that you will find on the web...
  12. Now that's the kind of "music" that gets you ready for another day of work. I'm not really sure that I want to know how you found that video.
