    Marc Ribot? I once saw him on a festival for avantgarde guitar music here in Germany and first thought he was making fun of the situation. But then is seemed like this treatment of the guitar was really meant to be the music he delivered to the audience... You couldn´t really call it "playing guitar" though. What to listen to, if I want to listen to real guitar playing by him? BTW after him Fred Frith entered the stage and I did enjoy that one.

    If you are located in Europe you might want to look into these: Tube Amp Doctor Amp Kits They are not really cheap, but have very good quality components.

    The VHT GP-3 is another fine preamp that really kicks. 3ch switchable by MIDI input. The Boogie Quad is actually 3 rack spaces only ;-) Sonja
