I admire her stance on principle. Interesting insights into her career origins and the industry, as well.

 I think she should accept, she's far more deserving than so many others in there, but I respect her decision, - good she'd getting some recognition either way:

 My old Hamer dealer store owner friend told me a story about being at NAMM about 15-20 years ago. While walking around, he was standing next to an older woman, looked again at her again and said "you're Carole Kaye!", they had a nice chat, she had been wandering around NAMM being completely unrecognized until then.
