Saul Goodman Posted July 11, 2025 Posted July 11, 2025 I enjoy this guy. Very well done videos. What brings to question is the part considering the two neck carves between the '59 and '60s. He states they were all done by hand in front of a belt sander. Each person holding their own guitar neck and shaping it according to feel in their own hands. So each neck feels organic to your hands instead of just being a drive-it-and-go kind of t hing. I've learned there are a few Hamer Luthiers here and some who are also in the know. But, weren't Hamer necks fashioned in the same way, at least before they became all shiny? Hamers were pretty much hand made, correct? Also he mentions, "Old growth," Honduran Mahogany. Ed Roman had a great page about Hamer back in the day where he praised the wood Hamer had stockpiled. I love this hog-slab Special I just picked up. 5 Quote
Travis Posted July 13, 2025 Posted July 13, 2025 Found his channel a little while back and I’ve enjoyed his videos as well. Very tasteful player and he’s got some really high end/boutique guitars that look and sound absolutely fantastic. Quote
