The band we did a show with sat night's lead player has the ZW EMGs in his LP. It was the Epi Zakk Wilde Bullseye guitar, but it sounded fan-freaking tastic for all of that metal goodness. Great player too.

Anyway...

yes the EMG's are pretty nice. You can go from clean & clear to full blown distortion with these pickups. They sound great no matter what music you play. I installed various model EMG's on four of my guitars and they all sound super.

It is, actually, a very nice guitar, and at a good price. Probably outstanding quality.

However, it lacks the 3 critical letters "U.S.A".

I admit it...i am guilty of guitar snobbery...the only Asian guitar i own is cruelly drywall-screwed to the wall of my studio...i like to refer to it as a japanese wall hanging.

(Isn't admitting you have a problem the first step towards recovery?...is there a 12 step group for this?)

GL, it really is a very nice guitar, someone will make out very well when they buy it.

If it would make you buy it, I could put "U.S.A." on it for you. ;)

I'll ask my logo dude to make it for me. I'll put it on, then clearcoat over it. You'll be all set. ;)

The guitar is very cool. The hardware and electronics were the only thing lacking, which is why I upgraded all of it. The overall construction was really well done.

I had a brand new Washburn Dime 333 (Korean) in the Dime Slime finish back when they first came out, and I loved it. Nice construction, super paint job, and the neck was nice. I upgraded to Seymour Duncan Metal Live Wires and the guitar just screamed. The Korean thing wasn't an issue. It was all top notch similar to my Standard here.
