Guest Hellrider67 Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 Good guitar- Good deal with all the upgrades and case.
serial Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 The band we did a show with sat night's lead player has the ZW EMGs in his LP. It was the Epi Zakk Wilde Bullseye guitar, but it sounded fan-freaking tastic for all of that metal goodness. Great player too.
Guest Hellrider67 Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 Anyway... yes the EMG's are pretty nice. You can go from clean & clear to full blown distortion with these pickups. They sound great no matter what music you play. I installed various model EMG's on four of my guitars and they all sound super.
karmma1 Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 It is, actually, a very nice guitar, and at a good price. Probably outstanding quality. However, it lacks the 3 critical letters "U.S.A".I admit it...i am guilty of guitar snobbery...the only Asian guitar i own is cruelly drywall-screwed to the wall of my studio...i like to refer to it as a japanese wall hanging.(Isn't admitting you have a problem the first step towards recovery?...is there a 12 step group for this?)GL, it really is a very nice guitar, someone will make out very well when they buy it.
Guest Hellrider67 Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 If it would make you buy it, I could put "U.S.A." on it for you. I'll ask my logo dude to make it for me. I'll put it on, then clearcoat over it. You'll be all set. The guitar is very cool. The hardware and electronics were the only thing lacking, which is why I upgraded all of it. The overall construction was really well done. I had a brand new Washburn Dime 333 (Korean) in the Dime Slime finish back when they first came out, and I loved it. Nice construction, super paint job, and the neck was nice. I upgraded to Seymour Duncan Metal Live Wires and the guitar just screamed. The Korean thing wasn't an issue. It was all top notch similar to my Standard here.
