F/S 93 P90 Special

I bought this guitar on this site from Jon Tuoti back in February. It's tobacco burst, but I believe the term used here is diaper burst. Jon called the neck a medium profile but I would say it is more medium/thin. The only sign of use is a little fret wear on the three high strings frets 1 thru 5. When I first got the guitar I thought it must have been refinished, it is that clean. Based on the appearance of the rear access cavity the finish is original.

I had a new nut cut and the saddles cut to match the fretboard radius. Also had a new Switchcraft input jack installed.

This guitar is in excellent condition. Of course, the original hard shell case is included. I paid $580.00 shipped from Arizona to western PA. I'll ship to the lower 48 for the same price. USPS MO preferred but I'll work with you if Paypal is your only option. Email me at strepp@comcast.net.

Since taking possession of Pirate Flynn's 80 Special with the WCR Crossroads I find my 93 is collecting dust. It's just too good of a player to be sitting around so hopefully it will find a new home with someone here.

Thanks

Specials are really nice guitars. I just picked up a used one from BCR Greg at his store. It's a 93 Special FM with 2 SD Jazz pickups AND an LR Baggs passive piezo pickup installed by Greg with an out to a stereo jack so you can split the magnetic pickups and the piezo. My neck is quite thin, which I like.

This is a good price for this guitar in great shape. You won't go wrong with a Special.

Forgot to mention this in my for sale post. Jon purchased this Special from Rob at Valvetech Amps. Thet's as much as I know about it's history.

I'm also open to trades, perhaps for a 25th anniversary or something along those lines.

Hi! Is the body a one-piece as is found on some of these? What is the weight like?

Does this guitar suffer from the finish/neck set glue problem that some of these

had? What is the serial number? Is the case in excellent condition as well? Thanks, Ian McMillan

Hi Ian. Wanted to let you know I got your email and saw your post. There is no evidence of Hameritis. The case is in very good condition: no stickers, hinges and latches are fine, as is the handle. Pick ups are SD P90-2 in the neck position and SD P90-3 in the bridge position. I'll verify the body construction and weight tonight and respond. Serial # is 335237.

The body is one piece, neck is three piece. Weight is between 6.5 and 7 lbs, based on before and after on a bathroom scale.

Tuesday bump.

Would also be interested in a Special Jr. or USA Standard trade possibility.
