I'm just not bonding with this, try as I might, so it's time to try something else.

Gotcher Mesa F-50 head for sale here, acquired from TurboGerbil with low miles, still has low miles. Usual Mesa bulletproof construction, but with fewer switches, pull doodads and such.

Clean channel has miles and miles of headroom, gain channel gets into rectumfrier territory, more than Mark series. Two channel with contour setting for a "Lead Channel with graphic EQ" type of deal.

Looking for a Rivera R-55 12 or Knucklehead 55 head. I'll let this go reasonable, but not cheap.

Hey Tom...My Rivera S-120 is essentially the R-55 in stereo with reverb and chorus at 60 watts per side and can be run mono safely :D:D:D

wow, you're the first person i know to have an f-series and not be in love..... i'm taking my f-50 combo to my grave.

Different strokes, I guess. It's a helluvan amp, no doubt. It just doesn't meet my needs right now.

How about a Dual Rectifier?

Edited to add: For trade I mean.

FYI, I bought that amp new and had it about a year with very few "miles" on it, it never left the studio. Very clean. Great amp, but TT is not kidding about the headroom on the clean channel, there's gazillions of it there. If you want the clean channel to get crunchy, you better like it LOUD, cuz at 50 "boogie watts" it gets damn fricken loud. it works really well through a hotplate though. The drive channel is quite good as well. The only reason I sold that amp is cuz I picked up a Mark IV head and I liked the Mark IV form factor better.
