Anyway, after being a very busy drummer and closet string player and writer for many years, I walked into a shop in Grand Rapids, MI and walked out with my first '95 Cruise bass (serial #540983), black with first gen 2 Tek bridge. Many of my favorite bass players (Petersson, Pinnick, Blades etc...) played Hamer and it played and sounded killer and the price was right. That was soon followed by another one of the exact same formerly owned by Howie Epstein (serial #541729), which was soon followed by an '85 Cruisebass (#512863). The disease continues as I've since became a HFC'er and can't get enough of Hamer basses! Always looking for more. Love 'em.
