currypowder Posted December 25, 2007 Posted December 25, 2007 I'm selling this guitar for a friend, but it's in my possession and I will handle the packing, shipping and will stand behind the guitar. Time to start spending that holiday $$$. This is a 2000 Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster. I don't know alot about these guitars, but here is what I do know after playing around with it for a few days. It is a tobacco sunburst finish (not sure of the body wood) with rosewood fingerboard. I would guess the radius to be 9.5. It weighs right at 8 lbs. on my bathroom scale. Outfitted with Fender Noiseless pickups and locking tuners. It plays and sounds real nice through my Bogner Duende. I would describe it in very good condition. No significant dings or dents on the body. It has been played, so there are pick scratches on the pickguard and a few stray pick scratches on the upper bout. There are also some scratches on the rear, but not what I would describe as worming, rather surface scratches. The only real issue is there is about a 3 -4 inch area on the back of the neck where the finish has chipped a little right near the skunk stripe. I tried to capture it in one of the pics. I honestly could not tell they were there when I was playing, but want to disclose everything I can. Includes the tremelo bar and form fitting original hard shell case. $650 shipped.
