What a great piece of gear for all of us "old school guys" that can't carry around the heavy-weight amps anymore but still want that tone (bad backs ya' know). Disturber Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 This sounds like an interesting litte gizmo. I just picked up an Ibanez pue5 tube three weeks ago at a bargain price. It's a great unit. And silent as it has a built in noisegate. With the tubedrive I get pretty similar tones to what I hear on the soundclips on the fulltone website. Blend in the tubescreamer and it's gets rawer but still vintage. I'm stunned how good this pedal is. The tube gives me all the great overtones an ordinary pedal lacks. Been playing Billy Gibbons riffs all weekend with my 79 Sunburst. disturber
