I am still happily using the mindprint as well. I appreciate the offer, but I'm good on recording gear at the moment. Chris -
USA Duotone FS/FT
cswilder replied to cswilder's topic in For Sale - Wanted to Buy - PIF - eBay & Other PSAs
This one is medium. Not as thin as the 93 special I had, but not quite as thick as a LP 50s neck. -
I've got a USA 3-Hole Duotone (1994 Model I believe) in 59 Burst FS. It's in good shape with a few small dings and some light playing wear. There is very little fret wear. I didn't get a case with it so it will ship in a Gator LP case with the pink lining and shroud. It's set up with .010s and is a very nice player. It's also very light around 7 lbs. Trade preferences (+or- $as needed) would be: Musicman Basses Eric Johnson Strat I will however consider most anything. $800 shipped and paypalled.

AMP Kit Projects - Who is Working on one?
cswilder replied to Brewmaster's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
I've done a Lightning, an 18 watter and a hombrewed 50 marshall in a Fender combo chassis. I'm probably going to build a trainwreck based amp next time out, but I need to get some crap out of my music room first! I'm helping a friend with a Weber 5E3x2 (doulble deluxe) and the moment and the tweed deluxe overall is really simple. Chris -

Is this the tube mic with the separate power supply? Thanks, Chris -
Happy Birthday.....Enjoy! Chris

It should be mentioned that V30s and G12H-30s are much louder (higher sensitivity) than Greenbacks. If volume is an issue the Greenbacks can be very helpful in taming the levels. Chris

Songs that "stopped you dead in your tracks"
cswilder replied to Willie G. Moseley's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
The first time I heard "Creep" by Radiohead. It got to that palm muted "chuck-ah...chuck-ah" part right before the chorus and literally made me stop the car. That is so badass...those guys ended up doing pretty well for themselves. Chris -
02 Hamer USA Monaco Elite
cswilder replied to bruce919's topic in For Sale - Wanted to Buy - PIF - eBay & Other PSAs
Hell it was my guitar originally, and I'd love to buy it. In an ironic twist of fate I had the chance to buy back the guitar you traded to me for it (monaco superpro) and bought it instead. Life is weird. Your price is better than right and the guitar smokes so it WILL sell. I have no idea why it's still available. -
Does my wife hate my guitar playing?
cswilder replied to MTM105's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
Here'a different take. My wife rarely comments on my playing or songwriting in any way. She only reluctantly ever came to my gigs in the era when I played out regularly. She has this problem where she can't see a live performer of any kind without being embarassed FOR them whether they are good or not. Her own anxiety is such that she can't see someone live without feeling a measure of the fear she would feel if she were actually onstage herself. Weird, but not a big deal. I think there is also a degree of the jealousy factor mentioned earlier. She is a little jealous of the time devoted to music vs family. Either don't worry about her lack of comment or bring it up with her. I'm sure she's got a reason that makes sense to her. -
Best thing you've gotten from an HFCer
cswilder replied to MCChris's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
I've gotten more than my fair share of tasty meals from Cajunboy. I try to provide boat rides and boobies for him to look at, but I'm getting the better end of the deal. Sometimes we try to trick him into playing tiny 8 stringed guitars. Mark is good people. Chris -
Any new groups that play like in the 70's 80's?

Sweet. I would have been freaking out if I was in the same position. It's a relief for me to hear so I can only imagine your relief.

CB, I have a few friends here who are licensed Ham operators. Call me if you want to try this. Chris

What are your favorite plugins?
cswilder replied to MrGuitarguy's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
I use the Waves Trueverb plugin (Sonar 3, Windows XP) on damn near everything. -
I'd like to have my Newbie status revoked as well. It seems this thread was the catalyst so I though I'd add my name to the list if there is one. Chris
