FS 1986 Hamer TLE w/Floyd

Here we have a 1986 TLE in natural, flamed maple over mahogany body with a maple neck and rosewood 24 fret fretboard. It has a Floyd Rose trem and Humbucker, Single, Single pickup setup.

I bought the guitar about a year ago. Found it on the Seattle Craigslist. At some point, a previous owner had moved the tone pot from it's original position down towards the output jack and moved the volume pot to the tone location. This left a hole where the original volume knob was, just below the humbucker. Then they installed a cutoff telecaster pickguard on the lower horn that covered the old volume knob hole.

When I got it, I took the pickguard off. I then melted some crayons and blended colors to match the yellowed maple top. I filled the volume hole and the small holes where the pickguard screws were with the melted wax. It turned out pretty good, you can't see the work except up close. The pickguard could be re-installed.

So the guitar is not a museum piece, it's a player. Other than the mods listed above, it does not have any structural damage. There are a few small dings here and there, but it's in pretty good shape for it's age. The tolex on the case is kinda hammered, but all the hinges and clasps work and the inside is good. Plays great, stays in tune, great 22 year old Hamer.

$550.00 plus shipping, I'm in the Seattle area. Cashier's check only please.

Could you please comment on how it sounded while you had it? I have always been intrigued by these.

In particular, how do the different pickups sound in this guitar? Does the humbucker at the bridge overpower the two singles?

Did it sound more "Stratty", or "LesPaulish", for lack of a better description?
