Hamerhack Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Hi, Everyone:So, my pesky older brother (the one who wanted to know why a nut is called a nut) goes to auctions and estate sales all the time. I've just gotten him started on guitar. An Ibanez acoustic (no model designation given) is listed in an upcoming event.Any models any good for this beginner/bottom feeder guy? Any to avoid?Reasonable price for said model? Thanks!
Jimbilly Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 You'll have to teach him how to tell a plywood top from a solid top, along with general condition. Ibanez are generally well built, quality varies and most are more low end. Cheap pretty-good acoustics are easy to find, so if there's any questions about it, it will have to be very low priced.
ArtistOwner Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 One of our acoustic players on our worship team uses this guitar. It's a solid guitar at a good price. Has a decent preamp. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Iba...uner?sku=519998
