Zoner Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 Jackson Fusion Pro from the very early days of Japanese Jackson production. These guitars have a rep for superior build and materials among the imports, and I would concur after having about 1/2 dozen various examples pass through my grubby mitts over the years. This one is sports the shorter "24 3/4 scale length of a Hamer or Gibson and it is a bit less common than the Soloist or Dinky models that had the longer scale. It is a metallic black/olive greenish color, H-S-S(EMG 81 bridge, stock jackson stacked singles + variable mid-boost), (Schaller)Floyd, oil-finished maple neck with a wide, flat profile that is nicely rounded to support the hand - not quite like an Ibanez Wizard. Ebony 'board w/ mother-of-pearl sharkfins, pearl inlayed logo, but missing some headstock binding and the very tip of the point itself. There is a trim pot in the control cavity to set the mid frequency and the tone pot acts as a level control when the mini toggle is engaged, but the pot has a scritchy spot at the end of its rotation and may need to be replaced. The trem pivots may also need some attention as the tuning stability isn't perfect, but I have done very little to this since I rescued it from my local pawnshop and it may just be an adjustment issue. There are also the usual neck-pocket finish cracks but nothing is broken. The frets are nearly perfect. 7/10 overall cosmetically with lots of small nicks and dings but no heinous gashes or chunks missing except the headstock tip issues. It needs a good cleaning and setup minimally to be fully road worthy, but is solid and has great potential for the right shred-inclined player. I am not so inclined, hate EMG's and am listless and lazy so take this off my hands please or shoot me an offer. Let's call it a "project" and offer it up for $225 shipped in a hardshell of some sort (it wont be great Thanks for looking. Z More pics: http://s48.photobucket.com/albums/f203/lorwinerz/Jackson/
