More seldom used goodies needing new homes.

Gibson GA20RVT from 1965, also known as the "Minuteman", which it was last weekend when my Boogie died and I took this to an informal jammer. 2xel84's cathode biased for around 20 watts and layed out like a fender Deluxe Reverb with 2 channels and reverb + trem on the second. This was serviced by Savage Audio due to a persistent crackle that was traced to the trem circuit. There is no longer any crackle but unfortunately the trem was sacrificed as well. They replaced a couple components and swapped for a 3-prong power cord and called it good to go. GREAT breakup at about 6 and up, but not a ton of clean headroom :D Loud, snotty and very British sounding tones here and it responds well to pedals and jumpering the inputs. missing back panel but in very nice shape for being 40+ years old. $325 shipped OBO.

Another 1965 model, this is the Ampeg J-12D that kicks out somewhere south of 20 watts through a pair of 7591's. This is a great warm sounding amp that LOVES single-coils and tries really hard to stay clean all the way to about 8 when it gets super comressed and rather "Crazy Horse" sounding if you know what I mean. Also not super loud, but a really awesome living room amp that also plays welll with pedals and has a sweet built-in trem and green jewel light. I have never had this serviced and it keeps chugging along beautifully, but somewhere along the line it got a 3-prong AC cord and I'm not sure the speaker is stock - it is a Jensen Special Design and sounds wonderful. Comes with a nice "Weber" vinyl cover for $350 shipped or make an offer.

Last, a Kustom Model 200 "Plexi front" (OK, I just made that up - but it is plexi) that is in need of some repair. The bright channel passes signal but it is very much diminished. The 'verb and trem work, but it is too quiet to use. The normal side works fine (as does the power section obviously), but do not, EVER mess with the harmonic clipper knob or the boost circuitry - there is some seriously evil stuff lurking should you not heed my word and choose to grab ANY of those knobs with power applied and volume up. Otherwise, it is a fine loud, clean single-channel amp that is rather indifferent to pedals in general and hates some of them with a passion (DS-1 comes to mind, but it could be MY hatred of that pedal). $61 gets it shipped to your door with thanks AND a free gift.

I'm hoping to move this stuff locally but I have appropriate material and skill to make sure they arrive safely if I have to ship. Please feel free to make offers especially if they include something Koa. Thanks. Z 612-703-3990
