ronmail65 Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 SOLD Excellent condition 2002 Les Paul Standard in Tobacco Sunburst. It has the stock Grover tuners. Guitar has light pick scratches, but is otherwise in excellent condition. No scratches, dents, breaks, cracks, or related repairs of any kind. And, YES, the D string is broken in the photos -- I was too lazy to change the strings before I took the pix. Plays great, sounds great -- just like a Les Paul should. I have replaced the strap buttons with Schaller locking buttons. Otherwise, guitar is completely stock. Comes with the original Gibson case. $1,400 and it's yours -- shipped to you within the continental US. What do these cost new... about $1800??? Buy mine instead! You love it!! kizanski Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 '50's or '60's neck carve?BTW: I think it's an '01 (0xxx1xxx = 2001).
ronmail65 Posted July 15, 2008 Author Posted July 15, 2008 The SN is clearly visible, so you're free to correctly interpret the date manufacture. Sounds like I messed up.I think it's a 60's neck... it feels like a Les Paul Classic. How can I be sure?
ronmail65 Posted July 15, 2008 Author Posted July 15, 2008 I just called Gibson to discuss this guitar...Based on the SN, it is a 2001. The neck profile is a '59 Rounded, which is closer to a 60's slim taper than a '50's neck. The pickups are Burstbucker Pro's.Hope that helps!
