PSA: Pink Scepter V

I stopped in at Rainbow Guitars in Tucson on my way home from hell this morning.

In the very back corner of the store hangs a pink '85 (I assume - S/N 5-something) Scepter w/ Boomers. Did they make the Scepter in 95? If so, maybe it's a 95, but something about pink screams 80s to me...

Overall condition seems very good - some dings and playing wear but nothing that looked too bad to me.

The salesman almost fainted when I asked to see it. As it turns out, he said he personally carried that guitar from their old store to the new location around eight years ago. Aside from one customer putting it on layaway but backing out of it years ago, he said I was the first to ask about it in a long time. He said that if I wanted to buy it, I would need to speak with Harvey the owner as it has sort of become the store's mascot.

He couldn't find the price in their computer, but was pretty sure they wanted $799 for it. I have no idea if that's a good price or not, but it doesn't seem bad to me. I didn't ask about a case.

I certainly don't get along with Vs myself, but I thought maybe someone else would.

Yes, I would say it looks just like it.*

*edit - maybe - is the one in your pic sort of two-tone around the bezels? I don't recall it being two-tone-ish. More solid and faded pink. *

* I'm also more than a little colorblind, but it was some sort of lightish pink for sure.
