Mike Lee Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 FS: Sony BDP-S300 Blu-ray player - from their 2nd generation of standalone players.I just upgraded to a newer model (Sony BDP-S350) that is more compact, and a little faster on load times. The BDP-S300 has an outstanding picture with Blu-ray discs, and upconverted DVD's. One review stated the DVD upconversion rivals $800 standalone upconverters. Anyway, it's in perfect shape, only 9.5 months old, with the only caveat being the relatively slower load times common to 2nd generation players. It has all the firmware updates, including the latest one that adds Dolby True HD support.Asking price: $100. SOLD to Bloozguy!These are currently being clearanced at around $250, while the new model lists at $399 and is selling at $299.I forgot to add that the new low price does not include shipping. UPS ground to just about anywhere in the US shouldn't be more than about $25, though. So it's still a great deal.
