New (8/08) Esquire build from TGP member Jaydawg76 (Jason Hilbourne). The body is a beautiful, featherweight piece of resonant pine ONE PIECE BODY, nitro done perfectly. The neck is a fat all parts TRO-W with super dark rosewood board, 9.5 radius medium jumbo frets and a great mix between traditional style with modern comfort - it's big, but very playable. The pickup is a Don Mare "Sweet" Esquire and all of the hardware is top notch. The bridge plate is Fender, but it's been grinded to lay perfect on the body. I can't say enough about the playability and tone -- it really is special. Very open and resonant, airy but it can get nasty with grit. The "neck position" gets a cool "cocked wah" tone that sounds great with OD, the middle is with the tone control in the circuit and the bridge position is wide open, no tone in the circuit. Jason is a GREAT guy, amazing builder and this Esquire kicks ass. If anyone needs hardcore particulars I can contact Jason for all of the nitty-gritty. The setup and intonation on this is absolutely perfect. The action is very playable but gives you a little "fight" -- exactly how an Esquire should be Comes with MINT (plastic still on the hinges) G&G Tweed case.
