JES1680 Posted July 10, 2005 Posted July 10, 2005 Saw an 89 Chap today. Mother of bowling ball finish, ebony, boomers, sustainiac. Probably 7.5 - 8 out of ten condition. Heavy but played and sounded great. Asking price is $650.00. Is that good bad or average? Thanks
holLoWskull Posted July 10, 2005 Posted July 10, 2005 I personally think it's just a tad high given the condition. I just recently sold a 9.0+ out of 10 condition 89' Chap Sustainiac in sea foam green to Shreddog for almost $100 less than that. Granted, mine was a standard dot inlay\rosewood board one and this one is an elite with boomerang inlays and an ebony fretboard, so maybe it is in the general ballpark? I guess it comes down to if you want the guitar bad enough, then it's worth it to you. I think if you're patient, another one will pop up.
