guitarzandstuff Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Looking to trade (trade value = apprx $900) This is a EVH black and yellow replica built by a respected builder of these guitars... I am not 100% sure of the specs but here's as close as I can get: 1 piece alder body 1 piece maple neck Gold hardware Floyd Rose Pro Trem system Schaller tuners Perfect EVH striping (all paint), could use a light buffing Pickup has never been removed but it's a great sounding pickup. My guess is a Duncan JB but could be anything. Definately very high quality tho.. Frets are in excellent shape, ends are a tad sharp... This guitar plays true, sounds great and is 100% pro quality in everyway... 8-9lbs... The black and yellow in this pic is the exact guitar... others are this builder works also but I only have and am selling the black and yellow EVH I am looking for a nice strat/strat replica but who knows, try me... can add cash where needed.
Jason01 Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Looking at these pictures reminds me of something I've never known the answer to. Why does eddies frankenstrat have a 3 way switch mounted into the middle pickup cavity? Why would you mount a switch through the strings?
atquinn Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 I thought he just moved it there to get it out of the way. Why not just remove it altogether? Are you questioning Eddie Van f&*$@ Halen?!? -Austin
