savethematches Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 I don't want to sell this, but circumstances require that I do. Just got it about two months ago, did a setup and string change, and will sell at a loss. Gigbag included. Here's a description I found online. Pics are from an identical twin to my guitar. "Product Description Now a hot, Alder-body Jackson Dinky-style guitar is available with the insane Sustainiac system! Its double locking JT580LP tremolo and Duncan Design humbuckers make it a powerful, versatile guitar to start with š but the Sustainiac pushes it over the top. The Sustainiac Sustain System is one of the best sustain systems on the market today and the DK2S has got it! The Sustainiac is simply a 9-volt system that can sustain a note, or chord, or the harmonic of the note, and even blend the fundamental with the harmonic to create an awesome screaming tone. It operates on one 9-volt battery contained in its own housing for easy access. Turn it on and you can hold any note or chord indefinitely. Flick the switch while holding the note or chord from the fundamental to the blend mode and listen to it scream. This is also one of - if not the only - system that has a driver that is actually a pickup. Some other systems use capacitors on the circuit board to make the bridge or middle pickup sound similar to what the neck pickup is supposed to sound like - but not the Sustainiac. The driver is a pickup that gives you the true tone of the neck pickup. Plug one in and see what you‰ve been missing! savethematches Posted July 13, 2005 Author Posted July 13, 2005 Yeah, it's a beauty and plays like there's no tomorrow. Unfortunately, life keeps kicking me in the teeth and I've got to generate some cash.
tomteriffic Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 Marty, if I had the money to spare, I'd just send it to ya and tell you to keep the guitar. I know it's been one rough patch after another for you, and I'm wishing you the best from Corn East to Corn Central.
savethematches Posted July 14, 2005 Author Posted July 14, 2005 Thanks for the kind words. This is just another of life's challenges, and I'll make it through. Besides, it's just a guitar--a damn nice guitar, but still just a guitar. I can live without it. Anyway, it seems like you're dealing with quite a bit yourself, so I'll return the good wishes from the "land of corn and beans." Things will eventually get better for both of us, so just keep hanging in and hanging on. Drop me a line if you need to vent.
