Opinions Pls - Repro SG Jr

Dear all,

Spotted the following - UK Evilbay...

SG Jr Repro

I LOVE SG Juniors, and this caught my attention.

Apart from the tuners eg. They're not 3 per strip - the rest looks pretty accurate fingerboard marker placement, headstock shape, neck joint etc etc.

What do you think - most of the original Jrs - I've come across anyway - out there are either broken, duff players, rotten electrics etc, with a very hefty pricetag - (as the market dictates...) and would be too much of a worry to take out and gig.

I quite fancy this and here's the bonus, my Dad loves these as much as me so a 50:50 deal is on the cards. Plus is a guitar that I would take out and play the snot out of - present Hamers not withstanding!

Apparently this came out of the States - I have a question currently with the seller to find out more - anyone know of any likely suspects for producing such an instrument?

Cheers all, and hope you can help me out.

Cheers,

Ben.

Cheers,

Personally, i would be a little concerned about the "no returns" policy. But price-wise, it's in line with an Edwards, which would seem reasonable to me if the quality is on the same par. And instead of "Edwards" it has "Gibson" on the headstock...people have different opinions about this, but personally i think if it's a repro, it might as well have an authentic-looking logo. It'd be nice if the seller mentioned who made it, it'd be easier to assess it's market value...
