Newports are ever so cheap

Ya you can grab them now and then around that price. More often than not though these guys pull the auctions when they see the guitars not catching any bids.

I been watching a P-90 Newport for months now. Bidding was at $760. and once again the owner pulled the plug Sunday on the auction before it hit 12hrs left.

He put it on for $1500. BIN before that and nobody bid. Time before that is when we were all watching the auction here. Fellow started the auction at 99 cents, it went up to $750. and the auction was pulled before the 12hr time limit. Now its back again today with a $1349. BIN? Probly won't sell for that. Not that its not worht it. But when you could grab one for $1000, why would you pay $1349?

ChasingSound1798 is the seller.

That was a very good deal that Moose had up with the Artist, Honey FMT with Phat-Cats for $900. Shipped.

Fellow has a MINT FMT Blue Studio on Ebay now that could be bought for a bit over $800.

I think the price's on used Hamers has been good in general. All guitars for that matter. The early 60's Fender Strats that were fetching $25G a couple years ago are going for much less now. I watched a private auction in Mass. The guitar was a totally original 1960 Sunburst Strat/OHSC with the original Switch, frets and in stunning condition. It Sold for $8100. Wasn't long ago, maybe 03-04 I have seen 64s and early 65's go for $22. to $23.

The economy is in a slump and these guitars are just being shuffled to those who could afford to put them away till better times? Thats my take on this issue.

Official sale of the Gold American Eagle are on hold right now. Reason being? Too much interest! Gold is skyrocketing at the moment. This is not a good sign though.
