Gasp100 Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 I'm on the lookout for a GREAT deal on a Hamer Monaco Elite. I have already bought and sold one (one of the plainer ones, deep translucent cherry, plain inlays, etc...) and I would like to have one again, possibly a Gold Top P90 version. I am not really into fancy tops, detailed inlays and such, but I'd be willing to look. Let's remember it's a DOWN market right now Whatcha Got? I may consider a great deal on a Studio Custom. I love the one's I have seen with binding, trap inlays and P90's; fairly rare from what I understand. I'm not much of a double cut guy (sold a killer Artist 25th, two specials with P90's and an Artist Korina... ouch!) but I imagine the Studio Custom's have a bit more girth, closer to a real LP? Let me know! greg@gregamann.com
DaveinSF Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 I have this Studio Custom for sale. It has Duncan 59/JB humbuckers, though. Funny, I also have an Archtop GT (basically same as the Studios) that does have Duncan P90s, but dots and not trapezoid inlays. The pics and info on the Studio Custom is here: http://www.hamerfanclub.com/forums/index.p...c=37056&hl=It is is basically mint condition with no dings or scratches that I can find.PM me if you're interested. It's a beautiful guitar, so I won't be lowballed into selling it, though.

I'm not a low baller by any means but let's all realize what the market is "bearing" (no pun intended) with gear sales (in particular Hamer's). The prices mentioned in your previous thread have been consistent since before the market downturn imho. My 2 cents (from the guy who had to sell a killer Hamer Special for $525 and an Artist Korina P90 for $775

Gasp100 Posted December 14, 2009 Author Posted December 14, 2009 Okay, I think I've PM'd everyone back that has contacted me -- thanks all, I'm interested in each piece and I have tried to reply with my offers. I guess at this point whomever accepts or gets back to me first and we'll go from there!(NOTE: I have a lot of irons in the fire at TGP and scouring the 'bay as well so we shall see what I end up with!)

I guess at this point whomever accepts or gets back to me first and we'll go from there!(NOTE: I have a lot of irons in the fire at TGP and scouring the 'bay as well so we shall see what I end up with!)FYI, I ended up grabbing a PRS Singlecut (won an ebay auction) and soon determined while it's a killer guitar, it's not for me. Apparently giving people around here less than a few days to get back in touch is not enough time and you are supposed to wait patiently for them to prepare to reply with a counteroffer. I apologize for hurting anyone's feelings for buying something else (while giving approximately a full day to hear back on outstanding offers). But, if I have cash in hand and 1,000 irons in the fire I'm going to move when I'm ready. I'm not a "phone guy" either; I prefer dealing via the boards and email so I have written correspondence as to what is going down. Plus, I don't want to bother people in their daily lives, nor do I want to be bothered in mine dealing with silly gear aquisition/trades/etc... So, to those who are upset - get over yourself... really. It's only gear. BTW, other people have listed ads for Hamer Monaco Elites so have at it. Going back to (reality...er...TGP)Peace - Greg
