  1. Was he confused with the Triple Threat Studio? 30 for Dvaes, 30 for Willcuts, 30 for Wildwood(??). Such a cool store. I need to get back over that way again.
  2. You know, I wish I could do that. But I can't listen to it very long, just like electric shredders.
  3. I appreciate you and everything that you do! I've been here for awhile, have met a few of the HFCers'. have been to a Hamer Jam AND the 4321 club!! I've been enjoying all things Hamer! I can't imagine being anywhere else!
  4. Ima gonna start saving!
  5. No, you only die once. You live everyday, hopefully like it's your last. Zorrow, sell them. A guitar in the case not used is not a guitar.
  6. Those are such nice guitars! Congrats!
  7. Our USPS in the midwest is not reliable at all. Arrival dates come and go. USPS trucks go 1 1/2/ mile by my house to 140 miles north to Fargo then back to Huron, SD(90 miles SW of me) then to Watertown, where I live. Sioux Falls is 100 miles south of me, took 5 days for a small package to get here. I woouldn't use them.
  8. I appreciate you and all you do for this site. HFC is my morning go-to, I'd be lost without it. I've learned all things Hamer here and lots about a lot of other subjects and people. The Fcaebook group is ok but all the true experts are here.
  9. I ordered a Wangs amp from China acouple months ago. Sale price $775, free shipping. UPS hit me for approximately $150 for tarrifs, Wangs refunded that back to me. I checked Border Buddy before hand, if I remember correctly they quoted $300-350 for fees.
  10. Mahogany neck with 60s SlimTaper profile. No thank you.
  11. Timely post. I think I've gathered all the parts to start my latest amp, Sluckeys' Dual Lite. Dual pre amp Vox AC15 Lite and Marshall 18 watt. Non- footswitchable(guess I could make it that way) preamp into 2 el84 power amp. AC15 has vol., brilliance(6 way rotary) and cut. 18 watt has vol and tone. Most of the amps I've built utilize Hammond organ transformers so I work within those parameters. I actually have built both those amps already. Matchless Nighthawk(head) is their take on the AC15 and the Marshall 18 watt lite(combo) is, well, the Marshall 18 watt. Both pretty darn decent sounding amps. I built Robinettes' JCM 800 with a pair of 6v6 s' two winters ago, his 6L6 Blackvibe 3 winters ago. Winters can get long here in SoDak ! I've built 8 amps so far since I quit gigging in '07, they've gotten increasingly expensive too build. The dual lite will probably be the last build. Marsha the 18 watt, left is Matchless nighthawk(AC15), The JCM 800 6v6 with a lot of hammond organ parts.
  12. David Lee is in our state twice this coming summer. I think my yard needs mowing. Altho I'm sure his band will be decent.
  13. I've only reconed one speaker, a Celestion G12H annivesary. I bought the drop in kit off Reverb. The easy part was the actual gluing in the pieces. The hard part was taking all the glue off the surround and voice coil cover. Labor intensive. I'm sure the experts are much better at it than I was.
  14. It was my very first amp in about 1968. Bought it used , don't remember a thing about it.
  15. WOW, what a wonderful woman. All that knowledge, the wherewithall to take all those notes, from the start! I can only hope someone is writing a book about her and all her knowledge.
  16. My Eclipse. Sentell mini p-90 pickups. Mighty fine! My avatar is also p-90, 3 of them! McInturff Taurus Custom, another Mighty Fine!!
  17. DIBS !! either one! or both.
  18. No guitars in 2025 yet. 2024 was good! A Tally would be nice, but so would an R7 or 8!
  19. I don't have a definitive answer but Ill relate my experiemce. Guitar, Hamer Eclipse, stock wraptail bridge was replaced with a Hipshot Baby Grand aluminum. The guitar became more "clear" sounding, not damped. I didn't really notice a change in sustain one way or another. I just noticed the tone was changed in a good way. Sorry I'm not good with terms most guitar palers usually use. Hope this helps a smidgeon.
  20. I apologize, obviously you never know. I did edit to add the SCAM in the title.
  21. My bad as well. Guess it does sound to good to be true.
  22. Two students from Mitchell Tech in Mitchell, South Dakota (90 miles from where I live) received these scholarships this fall! Tech Schools Make a Difference!!
  23. I watched a documentory on Carmine Street Guitars. I believe this is where she got started. I like the idea of repurposing the wood.
